Pacific Ocean-Vanuatu-Tanna It is rare now days that you an find a postcard of where you are staying. This is White Grass Ocean Resort and I would think it is the nicest hotel to stay in Tanna. Great setting and excellent food. |

Pacific Ocean-Vanuatu-Tanna-Volcano Post I was very excited to visit Tanna. The volcano was amazing and later on I will put up some photos. Best seen from 6pm when it starts to get dark. |

| The photo on the front of the card is a little misleading. The post box is a lot smaller . Also more important it is on the way as you start to walk up to the top of the volcano . So it is not on the edge as you see here. But I have to give top marks to Vanuatu Post for promoting this. Great that unlike the underwater card, this card does get a sort of postmark . It is hand dated with 11 July . I posted this on 2nd of July 2018. |

Pacific Ocean-Vanuatu-Underwater Post Office-Hideaway Island This island is actually a small good value resort. Vanuatu Post office have been very clever putting this underwater Post office . It is about 3/4 meters down. I had got cards posted there before from friends who were scuba diving. I decided to free dive down . It was not easy , as I was floating to much. But it took up to about one hour with practices . The Post box itself is very narrow so water does not get in. So it was difficult getting the cards in the box. But in the end I managed it . |

| This is the back of the card. First up it is preprinted with a stamp. I wrote the card with my normal pen but soon realised with my wet hands that the ink would run. So I had to put some of the writing in pencil. So at leat I can genuinely say that I posted this direct in the underwater Post box. For your information you can just buy and post this card in the main Post Office in Port Vila , without going anywhere near Hideaway Island. |

| There is a Post office in the centre of town and mailed that there. Nice clear postmarks. I am doing well on this trip with clear cancellations . |

Pacific Ocean-Vanuatu-Port Vila Not the most attractive islands I have ever been to. I was here for a couple of days and a cruise ship was in port. However, the people are wonderful. So friendly and welcoming. A real nice surprise. |

| I visited the Post Office on Saturday as it opens half day. It was very busy with cruise passengers mailing out packages and postcards. The Post Office itself had a great selection of stamps . The Philatelic Bureau does not open on a Saturday. |
