Ireland

Europe-Ireland-Kildare   Kildare and The Curragh the home of Irish racing and also horse training. I think you could see that from this postcard. It is Ireland's flattest county and so very suitable for horses.

Stamp is showing Patrick Kavanagh a well known Irish Poet. The postmarks in Ireland are all based on approx 5 locations. So this one is Central Ireland.

Europe-Ireland-Carlow  This is a Carlow situated on the River Barrow. Good farming land. Not very touristy.

The stamp shows Ulysses by James Joyce.

Europe-Ireland-Dundalk   Situated on the border with Northern Ireland.

This card was posted in Dundalk but still gets a Dublin postmark. Baile atha cliath  is the Irish name for Dublin.

Europe-Ireland-Cavan   There are 26 Counties in The Republic of Ireland. So over time you will see at least one card from every county. Like all Countries some areas are more interesting then others. This part of Ireland Cavan is famous for the Pot holes in the roads. I think it is really a thing of the past !

This stamps is showing a famous painting from The National Art Gallery in Dublin.

Europe-Ireland-Wicklow   This is Glendalough a very famous monastery just south of Dublin. It is a prime tourist attraction in Ireland. You can do a half or full day tour here. Here you see a Round tower. Wicklow is also known as The Garden of Ireland

William Rowan Hamilton a world famous Scientist.

Europe-Northern Ireland-Antrim-Belfast   Here we see the The City Hall in Belfast. When you visit Belfast this building stands out for sure. It was completed in 1906.

Difficult to read the postmark, by the Royal Mail. The stamp shows Glenelly Valley in Northern Ireland
